Mama needs a nap.

For some reason, Sara has become ultra-clingy this past week, ever since Mike got home from his exercise on Saturday. I cannot put her down. CANNOT! She has went from tolerating other people to outright refusing them. As much as I love my beautiful little girl, this can't go on forever. I know she misses the sling (she grew out of our old Snugli -- I didn't like it anyway, though) so we are buying a Moby wrap from Jen Jordan! Yay! I've been wanting one of these, so I'm pretty excited to get it. Woot for being back in a wrap, and double woot for having one that doesn't hurt my shoulders!

That said, Sara is cutting SIX teeth. So I know this is probably the cause of the clinginess, but oh my WORD. I can't even pee without her trying to climb into my lap. Poor little one. :(

In other words, MAMA NEEDS A NAP!

Good old memories and my own warm bed.

Okay, so I don't blog as often as I should. Since July 26, we have done loads of playing, watched Sara learn to walk, started preparing for her first birthday party, vacationed in Tennessee and North Carolina for a week, sent Daddy off to an exercise for a week, and now we are preparing to go BACK to Tennessee on Friday for the weekend. I am SO GLAD to be home, if only for a week! Oh, and we have watched Alabama beat the crap out of two opposing teams. That always makes for a good day in the O'Neill household.

Here are some pictures:

And a couple oldies but goodies:

Tiffany on Thanksgiving. Gosh...she's so little there! (BTW -- the date is wrong. It's November 2004.)

Jennifer & I that same Thanksgiving...I think I was 19.

Wish I could stay longer...but I'm too busy going through these old pictures I found. :)

Introducing myself.

If you're viewing this blog, most likely you know who I am. But for those of you who don't, I am Stephanie. I am 23 years old. I am married to Michael (26), and have been with him for 3 years, married for 2.5. Our story is a bit of the shotgun type; we met in June 2005 and married in December 2005. That was solely the best decision of my entire life. We met at RAF Croughton, England, where he was stationed with the USAF. We married in Eclectic, Alabama at Healing Waters Church of God, and lived at RAF Croughton for the first 1.5 years of our married life. On August 1, 2007, we PCS'd to Fort Benning, GA; now we live in Smiths Station, AL. I can't believe it's been a year. On September 29, 2007 God blessed us with our first little girl, Sara Faith. She is the blonde headed, blue eyed spitting image of her daddy, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I like a lot of things. I like blogging (okay, so I'm addicted), writing in my journal, reading others blogs, reading in general, visiting the library, cooking (I'm slowly getting better!), being a stay-at-home wife & mama, I love my doggie Delaney, taking care of my family, being a crunchy hippie mama, sweet tea, riding 4 wheelers, swimming, being outside, and the list goes on and on. I try to do my best in this world, because I fully believe you reap what you sow, and I don't want to be reaping any bad seeds.

I will blog exactly what I think, and my words won't be altered to fit your likes or dislikes. If it offends you, please don't be angry because it's simply my opinion. This doesn't mean I dislike you. Every individual is entitled to their own opinion, regardless of those around them.

So, for my first blog:

Today is Amanda Perryman's wedding shower. Amanda is someone I used to go to church with, and I went to school with her from 4th grade on. I met the Perryman's when I was 9 years old. They came to preach a revival at Tallassee Holiness Church, and they never left. In November, it will be 14 years since they came. I can't believe I am actually saying, "I have been friends with her for 14 years." That makes me feel really old. She is marrying a boy named Timmy from Virginia, and she will be moving away. The wedding is August 9th. The Perrymans were always very kind to me when I was growing up, and since I left the church it has never changed. We are no longer kids, but grown ups with our own families and children, and yet each time I am around them I am brought back to my childhood when we would drink cream soda and eat $.35 hamburgers from Dairy Queen after school. They kept me stable and sane during a period in my life where I was bouncing around from one thing to the next.

Before the shower (or maybe after) we will be going to see Kayla, Deven, and baby Aubrey (who was born July 22!). Kayla did such an awesome job during delivery, and Aubrey looks just like her. I have no doubt they will make great parents.

I will be glad to get back home tonight. I miss my husband, I miss my dog and I miss my house. I hate being away from him.
